The inception of Wheatley’s Web
I’ve been obsessed with design and creation for as long as I can remember.
Back in school, I curated SLR photography exhibits, stitched up quirky clothes for assignments, and was one of the first to submit Digital Art using the shiny new computer room.
I’ve always had a thing for the unique—and it shows in everything I do.
At 21, I bought my first business in the health and beauty industry. It was a slow start, but it set me on the path I’m on today.
Running this business meant plenty of rookie mistakes, but also major lessons. Soon, I was booking makeup gigs for weddings and high-end shoots, and I even became an accomplished model across several industries. After numerous shoots, I began managing and curating them myself—sharpening my skills in photography, videography, and all the creative technology needed to bring wild ideas to life.
I spent six years running events all over Sydney—networking with incredible talent and finding new ways to unleash my creativity. At the events, on occasion, I was able to showcase my designs and create entire outfits, which was not only a blast but also the perfect launchpad for what came next.
Bit by bit, my online media brand started to take shape, sending me off on my next big adventure. I waved goodbye to my beauty business, and soon after, hung up my event hat too.
With Wheatley’s Web up and running, I dove into swimwear and resort wear design—helping brands bring every piece and vision to life, right here in Australia.
Being hands-on at every stage and collaborating with other creatives is pure bliss, and promotes the most amazing results. My business now encompasses website, logo and garment design, and nearly every other aspect of branding and business development around these points.
There’s nothing better than turning an idea into something real, start to finish.
Wheatley’s Web is the result of over 40 years of learning and doing—pulling together every skill acquired along the way to help others turn their dreams into reality.
The best part? Watching a tiny idea or hobby grow into a full-blown dream. Every story fuels my mission: to empower the world’s dreamers and doers.
